Create and use templates

Published and reviewed

Templates are useful when a user wants a repeatable journaling structure instead of starting from a blank page each time.

Examples:

  • a morning reflection
  • an evening review
  • a weekly reset
  • a recurring gratitude check-in
  • Templates save structure and prompts, not just plain text.
  • They are a good fit for routines the user wants to repeat.
  • Guided prompts from the library and personal templates can complement each other.

Ask:

  • which platform they are on
  • whether they are trying to use a library prompt or a personal template
  • whether the issue is creating, editing, or opening the template

That will usually make the next step obvious.
